Parece que el que para mi es considerado uno de los mejores Dj/producer del mundo se recupera de su
adicción a la Cocaina. Me alegro muchísimo por el y desde mi blog le envío todo mi apoyo.
 

Erick Morillo se toma un respiro

Las recientes acciones de Erick Morillo son signos muy preocupantes de que la carrera de colombiano se tambalea cada vez más hacía un lado bastante oscuro.
Con una simple búsqueda en Google, podemos enterarnos de que Erick Morillo anda más para allá que para acá. Empezando por su arresto en el año 2008 antes de un concierto en Escocia por posesión de cocaína. Este tipo de comportamiento, siguió dando mucho que hablar ya que la cosa no ha parado por ahí, recientemente el dj dejó su público tirado en Long Island y poco después tuvo que ser escoltado fuera del escenario en Boston.
En el Ocean Club Quincy en Massachusetts, Morillo no estaba en un estado sobrio o normal, tanto que antes de terminar su actuación su manager y el equipo de seguridad tuvieron que sacarle del local. Llegados a este punto, el público tuvo una respuesta bastante enfurecida ya que no obtuvo ningún tipo de comunicado por parte de Erick o de su equipo de prensa que al parecer ha cancelado todas sus actuaciones hasta el 29 de junio.
Definitivamente el artista está envuelto en una serie de problemas legales y por supuesto de salud que le han llevado a tener un estilo de vida que podría definirse como: “Sex, drugs and EDM”.
Para sus fans, el declive del dj era algo momentáneo pero para algunos inevitable y desgraciadamente la noticia viene del propio Erick Morillo, aquí está su declaración:
“Llega un momento en el cual, tu cuerpo no puede acompañar un ritmo tan frenético y tan pocas horas de sueño. He forzado la máquina hasta llegar a unos limites inimaginables durante muchos años, y ha llegado la hora de tomarme un respiro. Enfocar toda mi atención en mi salud y mi bienestar. Esto no es una despedida definitiva, pretendo volver más fuerte que nunca, la música es mi pasión, tocarla y verte bailar en mi pista de baile es uno de los mejores regalos. Hasta que eso ocurra, quiero agradecer a todos mis fans por su apoyo y amor. Espero veros muy pronto.”

de facebook, en las que viene a decir que ya ha salido de ingreso en una clínica de reabilitación y que se encuentra mejor, que tiene
previsto bajar hasta 4 conciertos al mes y que promete a todos
sus fans que todo va a cambiar.

It's my last day in beautiful sunny Malibu, California and what an incredible personal journey the last four weeks have been. For those of you who dont know I've been in a spiritual rehab facility called passages. I've omitted that from the interview as i was a little embarrassed at first because i did not know what people would think. Now i realize that i want to share it with the world and use my sobriety as an example to all that you can have a life that is full of joy, love and laughter without drugs or alcohol.
 
Life is a gift and it's one that in recent years i've taken for granted. I have been blessed to be able to travel the world and share my love of music. I've been surrounded by a great family and wonderful friends who have been there for me through thick and thin and for that i thank them. My friends and fans alike have sent me love and well wishes and i was really touched by it all and i want to thank you as it meant a lot in a time when i was in a very dark place. Again, i can never thank you enough.

Now its time to take my life on, love myself and enjoy the journey on which i'm about to embark. as far as my gigs, its not business as usual, i am only going to do 4 or 5 gigs a month and focus on my first love making music and attaining balance in my life. In recent months i have let down fans and promoters by not showing up to a handful of gigs and i can promise you all now, that that will never happen again. I will be between Miami and NYC from now until the 23rd and then ill be based in ibiza until the end of august. i look forward to seeing you all on the dance floor!

i will send you guys periodic updates on my sobriety as it's not going to be easy, but by sharing it i can stay strong and deal with the challenges ahead. I am now 30 days clean and sober.
